Sometimes , the weight gain in early pregnancy is not much. This is not worrisome if the baby's growth is normal and the pregnancy is advancing normally. Talk to your doctor about it. To gain weight, take a nutritious high protein diet by including lots of whole grains and sprouts, nuts and seeds, soya, legumes, beans, dals , milk and dairy products, eggs , fish, chicken and whole meat (If non veg habits) . In addition, take plenty of fruits, vegetables and leafy greens. Take an early breakfast or morning snack and avoid long gaps between meals. It's better to eat small meals frequently.
