Firstly keep yourself well hydrated. Drink lots and lots of water, plus increase your fluid intake by taking more of healthy drinks like milk shakes, smoothies, lassi, chaas, soups, coconut water etc. Avoid adding sugar to any of these
Increase your resistance by eating a healthy pregnancy diet and staying active. If you are on antibiotic then try eating more of yogurt or yogurt with probiotic added to increase the number of good bacteria.
To get healthy pregnancy diet follow the tips given below-
- Eat 5-6 small meals in a day
-Do not keep yourself starved or Do not keep long gaps between two meals.
- Include Healthy carbs in every meal, like whole grain breads, cereals, ragi, jowl, atta and dal flour.
-Include proteins in every meal in the form of meals, dals, beans, egg/meat & dairy like paneer or cheese/dahi.
- Include Nuts and seeds and eat handful in a day, mainly in between meals whenever hungry.
- Include variety of fruits and veggies. Avoid taking fruit juices and emphasise more on whole fruits.
- Avoid eating processed, ready to eat and junk food containing excess of salt, sugar and unhealthy fats.
-Include some light exercise in your daily regime.
