In the first trimester, women do have heart burn, nausea, indigestion etc. This is a common problem. To get relief from it, eat small frequent meals, eat easily digestible soft foods, avoid sugar rich and fried/spicy foods. Avoid foods which are known to cause acidity like, cabbage, garlic, cauliflower etc. Keep your body well hydrated by having water milk, chaas, lassi, warm soups, custard porridge etc. Lastly in the morning take a carbohydrate rich snack like, rusk, toast as this will help to control nausea.
