Good evening My son is 3. 2 now. He is very sharp and active in all activities.. at times he becomes very hyper while playing with his peers.. few days ago I got a call from his school regarding my son.. and teachers were complaining that he is very naughty and pushes everyone in the class and spitting too.. first of all I was really surprised to know that how a teacher can complain for 3 yrs kid.. I told her teacher that is he the only one who does naughty in the class.. wherethe student child ratio in 5:1 can't handle one naughty kid.. Now my child doesn't want to go to school from last month.. when I ask him he says ma'am pinches him.. he may lie but I think not everytime he will lie.. where is was so much fond of his school. he is naughty but not up to that extent that teachers will complain.. please help how to handle this situation and control his tantrums and hyper activeness.. I am worriededucation Corner
Indeed it is a concern. Engage your child in as much as activities to channelise his energy after he returns from school. Keep guiding him in his behaviour with peers when he is at play. Guide him on how to cope with his emotions when he is with others. Share your concerns with his teacher. Tell her to seat him in front of the class. He will be restless and that he could be engaged in an activity if he completes his work before others. The activity can be something simple like colouring or reading a book or stacking books. She can involve him in various tasks in class to keep him engaged. I also suggest you have an assessment done by a clinical psychologist or a special educator for professional opinion on his hyperactivity.
