I understand your concern. It is just that she is extra sensitive to the crowd and place. A mall or a doctor ‘s clinic can be very scary for a toddler. A doctor’s clinic would remind of the injection or horrible tasting meds or a doctor who touches with a cold stethoscope. A mall with its noise and people can be scary too. Please understand from her perspective. It is usually a temporary phase and may ease with time provided you don’t stress about it or stress her. I can understand that it is frustrating for you. Could you then leave her with someone safely while you go out? Is there any family member to help out ? Try to mentally prepare her before you go out. Try to understand why she gets upset. Ask her. Soothe her that you would always be there. Also do avoid her nap time or food time while going out. Children tend to get very cranky so if you keep your shopping very brief it would help. This is only for a year more when she would be bigger. She will grow out of it. Take care.
