This is a very tough time for you and your family. It is important that you avoid arguing or fighting in front of her. Tell her that you and your husband are always there to support her. Explain to her that you and your husband will be living seperately and make it clear to her that it is not her fault. Sometimes children will think it is their fault. If she asks you a question relating to the divorce answer it as truthfully as possible giving her age appropriate information. Sometimes you may tend to.give into her demands because you are scared or guilty of hurting her. Be careful not to do this. It is still important for her to follow rules and routines and it is important to set boundaries with her as usual. Encourage her to talk about her feelings and thoughts. Wishing you all the best!
