hello doctors.. my baby was good eater before he had diarrhoea last month.. he ate whatever I used to give him. he left his meal for one month during diarrhoea.. I tried variates of paratha etc etc to eat. but he wasn't. now he eat but he doesnt want to eat rice at all.. he likes varieties of food whatever I'm giving him.. but don't want to eat rice at all. how can I feed him rice. or how can I replace rice's nutrition with other food?

Any antibiotic given to baby to treat diarrhoea or infection can result in destroying the intestinal health or the healthy bacteria and this can result in poor appetite. Hence to bring back the appetite, discuss with your doctor on starting with Probiotic supplements. In addition, Kefir or probiotic rich yogurt available in market is a good source of probiotics. Plus offer small meals, offer easily digestible meals, like soft porridge/upma/kheer/khichadi/dosa. Foods like paratha or normal roti subji may be difficult to digest. Do not worry, slowly the appetite can be build.
