Hello everyone, my daughter is 18 months old and like many children she is a very fussy eater. Sometime it take more then an hour for a meal to complete. She is very active keeps running entire day she never sits and on top of that if she doesn't eat it very painful. She is also bit underweight. We have been trying very hard but all in vain. Please can someone suggest a proper vegetarian food chart, some healthy nutritious recipe. Moreover she is going to join Montessori from next month from 9am-11am. So proper timing and food needs to be maintained. We are really worried as her health is not increasing and may further hamper overall development. Please help.

While as adults, we understand nutrition and the importane of it, and may choose a food 

type basis it's health-quotient, for a child, it's the presentation of food which is most important.  

Try and make the food presentation more interesting for your child. Making smilies on the food, forming various shapes through food, adding seasonal toppings of your child's favourite fruit to the food may make the pallate more interesting and appealing for your daughter. Children eat food basis it's presentation and visual appeal, so keep enhancing it for your child. Some times, we tend to confuse between a lean child and an unhealthy child. Assuming that the Pediatrician has found her underweight, you could try giving your child more variety and more number of meals in small portions rather than one big meal.
