Children learn by imitating others. Similarly, eating with friends can encourage eating a wider variety of foods. 4) Do not force-feed your child. 5) Get your child excited about food by imvolving them in buying and preparing food. 6) Avoid substituting uneaten meals for other foods. Treating your child with unhealthy foods because you are worried they are not eating only makes them less likely to eat healthier foods. 7) Do not feel guilty and neither fret if your child doesn't eat the food that is offered. Set aside 20-30 minutes for mealtimes and 10-20 minutes for snacks. 8) Serve new food with his/her favorite food 9)Avoid distractions like TV etc 10) Avoid drinks or snacks within one - two hours of mealtimes 11)Large amounts of milk (e.g. over 500 ml/day) can fill your child up and result in a picky eater. So, serve no more than 500 Ml milk per day.
