Hello , My daughter is going to 1 st standard to new school I am so worried will she adjust to the new environment in the new school before she went to a play group school she is actually happy . can you please tell me some tips so that I can make her to engage in the new environment of the school as well as in concentrating in the studies

Talk about the school casually in a positive manner. Talk about your school days with enthusiasm. Do not portray your anxiety. Children quickly catch the anxiety from parents. Set a sleep -awake pattern one month before school reopens ( according to the school schedule). This will help her to be fresh and early.
Cultivate a habit of daily conversation. Share how your day was and she will share hers too. As she talks listen carefully and give practical advice.
Inculcate values of sharing. Label her new lunch box , bag, pencil box etc.
even if she is anxious or upset for the first few days it is alright. It will be temporary and time will help her adjust well. This is how children learn to adapt. Be encouraging and motivating. Make sure that you are confident about her adapting. That will give her confidence too.
