You can begin sleep training now on. Keep her awake as much as possible in the day time. Wake her up earlier than usual. Only then she will sleep in the night. Have a separate baby cot for her. Create a night routine. Dim the lights. Play a favourite sleep time lullaby or song. Put her to bed. Stand near her. Kiss her good night. Tell her you will come back later. Allow her to cry for max 15 minutes. Go back. Comfort her. Don’t carry her. Again repeat your kiss and say goodnight. She may wake up several times. Just pat her to sleep. Do not carry her unless crying is past 15 minutes. So it is important to not let her sleep in the day. It will take three weeks to set a routine.
