Hi Priya!

To reduce weight in your daughter's case she would need to
- increase her physical activity
(brisk walks at least 40 minutes, some form of exercise , take up some sport etc).
- control her diet.
  For her diet following changes are suggested
- Reduce her overall intake of fats i. e. butter, ghee, oil, fried foods and so on
- Avoid giving refined cereal products like white bread, buns, pizza, noodles, things made         with maida
- Restrict intake of sugar and sweets.
- Increase intake of vegetables (avoid potatoes & other root vegetables) and
  fruits (avoid mango, banana, cheeku).
- Give whole cereals like whole wheat, ragi, bajra, unpolished rice, millets and whole dals &     legumes.
- In case of non-vegetarian diet give chicken, fish, egg white etc.
- Use toned milk for milk, curds & paneer.
Using these tips make changes in her daily diet pattern and snacking habits.
