Hey there, thanks for taking interest in my query... as u want some details I m providing it to u The distance between the school n my home is 25 mins but school bus take 50 mins to 1hr... After dropping all the children.. The distance between the second last bus stop n our home is 8-9mins. i hv not idea how much tm does the bus takes. There is no other option to send him to school other than school bus... no private van or car pools from my area.. School does hv transportation policy but it's school friendly rather than child friendly... We as a parent cannot argue for the same as I don't hv any other means to send him to school.. Attendent of the bus does have our numbers but he never calls after dropping in to the bus stop. My father- in -law personally goes and collect my son.. Hope upto certain extent the information provided by me would b helpful for u to answer my query... regards

Hi Richa!
Thanks for the details.
You could tie-up with the parent/s at the nearest (second last) stop and let your
child be picked and dropped at this stop rather than come alone in the Bus from the
second last stop till home.  Also, you need to speak to a few fellow parents from the same school and insist on the attendant giving a missed call to the parents while dropping the children, especially the ones at the last few stops. You could then call the attendant against his/her missed call to get a sense on the location. Perhaps, it's even more important to help your child with safety measures, to be precautious. You should tell your child to never go with a stranger, seek help from his friend's parents or stay there at the friend's place in case his Grandfather/you take time in reaching him at the drop location. You could also have a secret password between your child and all the family members so that in case of some emergency if some one else goes to pick him with your permission, needs to tell the password to your child first or the child shall not go with that stranger. More than anything else, it would help if you could connect with fellow parents from your child's school in the nearby locality, you all could meet once a month to catch up and discuss about your children and school related matters. It shall help all of you to gain from each other's outlook and experience as well.
Hope this helps!
