Hi all there is an solar eclipse tomorrow on 14th dec. Need to know does it scientifically correct to follow precautions laid by elders for pregnant women like not cutting, sleeping, avoid food and water, not going out. I am confused about the same. I am in my 23rd week of pregnancy. what is a gynaec or doctor view on the same?

It is not scientifically correct to avoid cutting, eating , sleeping , drinking or going out during a solar eclipse. There is no proven harm. However, you should not look directly atthe sun during an eclipse, it can harm your eyes.
