Hi I am a mother of 4 months old. I've been trying to introduce bottle to my little one but he just wouldn't accept. I'm on maternity leave now and its time for me to get back to work. I tried using different bottles with different nipples but he would just push them away with his tongue. I tried expressing and feeding him through spoon as well but he would just scream a lot and throw up all. He would scream until I nurse him directly . I've been trying to offer a bottle from 1st month onwards. Please help.

Answer:
It is better to keep trying with spoon only and avoid bottle feeding. Bottle feeding leads to nipple confusion. So you can express your milk and it can be fed with spoon. Expressed milk can be stored for few hours at room temperature and in fridge for a 1-2 of days. It can be warmed on indirect heat and given to the baby. Keep trying and baby will eventually accept it. Hope this helps.
