Hi, I am scouting for schools for nursery admission of my daughter. I have a good IB school very close to the place I stay and I like their teaching methodology and their focus on extra curricula in addition to academics. The school follows IGCSE from 6-10 and IB for 11-12. My confusion now is if I should send my daughter to this school ? I would like her to complete her under graduation in India. So would this school be suitable ? Would it be wise to send her to this school till 7th grade and then shift her to CBSE/ICSE schools? Would it be difficult for her to cope up if we do this?education Corner
but a lot more options shall be there for IB school passouts in India. On the changing of boards from IGCSE to ICSE/CBSE in grade 7/6, it so happens that change of framework/curriculum in grade 6/7 is tougher because this is when building blocks/concepts are intoduced to a child, that in itself are new line of concepts, the change of framework together with this makes it harder. If in case you have to look at a change in board, then ideally, do it in primary classes. In my opinion, you could evaluate the school for your child's development from early years and then let it take its own evolution.
