Hi.. I have 2 kids.. first one is boy 4. 6 years old and second is a girl 20 days old.. I am breastfeeding my new born. its really tough for me to handle my first kid while feeding. he keeps asking questions about feeding . I am not sure how to handle him. at times I ask him to move out of the room when I feed. I know that's not the right way, but i am finding it tough to handle. please do let me know how to overcome this situation. I don't want to hurt my first kid.

Answer:
It is his way of seeking attention. Since feeding is a passive task you can devote attention to your older one. It is important not to ignore him. Answer his questions with patience. He is absorbing a new learning. Also he doesn’t remember his feeding days. He is envious. He is wondering if he got the same attention. He may be repetitive till he is satisfied. Use the time to chat with him. Once you finding feeding place the infant aside and cuddle up with the older one. This will compensate.
