Hi, Iam santoshi. I have a daughter of 20months.. She used to have food like dal, rasam and curd regularly few days back I mean from 12 to 16 months she used to have good diet properly. After that she is not at all showing interest in rice dal or rasam. She is having only a little quantity of dosa. I have tried number of varieties like carrot puree, dal rice, khichidi, semya,idli,dosa.. She doesn't like anything. She is having milk(feeding) whenever she feels like drinking she cries a lot and shouts n a last she drinks. Iam trying to divert her in many ways but she's not responding. Night for everyone one hour she have milk till mrng. Can you suggest me how to stop feeding and have a good meal for her for good sleep in the night....

I hope you are doing well. To stop the feeding reduce the time of the feed and gradually stop it. Because she is hungry she tends to feed at the time to satisfy her hunger. Try these tips and the diet, hopefully, these should help. Try and experiment with his food. Try to give him different veggies and fruits every day. Always try to sit together for meals so that he sees it and eats it. Make his food more presentable so that he enjoys eating it. Engage him in your talks and try to give him a small quantity at one time. Avoid force-feeding your child. Breakfast- 1 cup milk + 1 mini sandwich/2 small chilla/1 Bowl veggie oats/1 Beetroot or carrot paratha Mid-morning- 1 Fruit + 1 Tsp peanut butter Lunch- 1 Roti with sabzi or Dal chawal, khichdi and kadhi, Fried rice, vegetable pulao/biryani Snack- 1 Fruit/1 Glass milkshake/Paneer Tikki/home-made bread pizza Dinner- Same as lunch OR 1 Dosa/uttapam( add veggies)/2 idlis/pasta with veggies/wheat noodles with veggies/vegetable daliya
