I understand your concern and appreciate that you want to do something to control this. What best you may do is to delay its onset by giving a diet which helps prevent inflammation. Try giving a low fat generally vegetarian diet but do give fish (mackerel, tuna or fish oil) , avoid of fats (saturated solid fats) and use only good fats of olive and omega -3 ( fish oil, soy, rice bran). Include nuts especially almonds and seed like flaxseeds for their zinc and other antioxidant properties. Include low fat milk products and take care of their vitamin D intake (take advice of your doctor for recommending supplements of vitamin D to them). Include more whole grains like whole wheat atta, unpolished rice, millets and whole beans and legumes. Include more fresh fruits and vegetables for their antioxidants like Vitamin A, C and E. Foods like garlic and pineapple are also beneficial. Avoid giving fried foods, trans fats of margarine, hydrogenated oils and too much bakery products. Keep your daughter active in sports and other activities, which help in bone health. Hope this helps.
