hi... my 1 year old son identifies the objects when we ask him but he does not speak the basic words mamma Papa etc.. However, he is able to make different kind of voices like hoo, aa etc. but I am worried for him about not speaking the basic words also. Please advice.education Corner
At the age of 1 they do variegated babbling - This means the child is putting together different non-sense syllables (consonant-vowel) together, like “buh duh gah”. They will use pitch and tone for such words. They will squeal and coo. They will recognise their name. So they will respond to their name . They will respond to NO. They like to look at themselves in the mirror. So you have nothing to be anxious about.
