Hi, My daughter is 1year9 month old. She doesn't like to chew she just like to drink juices and milk. Please give some tips to make her eat roti subji. I give her soups, rice, fruit juice and boiled egg every day. Her weight is 9. 5 kg. Also how much milk can b given to her. I avoid mild in day time but at night she asks for milk anytime she wake up.

milk can be given between 400-500 ml in a day. If the child prefers soft, mushy food only, give only that for the time being. You can gradually introduce solid foods in diet, by giving one or two bites of it. Give soft foods like porridge ( dalia, suji, sago, rice flakes etc). You may also give vegetable upma of suji, ragi etc. Try and make your child have meals with family. This would encourage them to start with solids. Show them chewing your foods. Give gaps between meals so that they are hungry enough to eat. Children also follow each other. Seeing other children eat solid food would also encourage them to eat. Hope it helps.
