Hi, my son is 8 months old and his birth weight is 2. 7 kgs. He is very active. I usually give him a mashed fruit in the morning rice dal with vegetables like carrot peas in the aftwrnoon and cerelac or some other fruit or vegetable puree for dinner. Rest of the times I feed him breast milk. Last time we checked his weight was when he turned 6 and he was just 6. 7 kgs. He is within the range but on the lower side. My question is, Is this normal or i should try something else for him to put on some more weight. People keep saying that he looks lean.nutrition Corner
please don't worry as the weight gain of your child is good. A healthy baby normally doubles his birth weight by 5 months, which he has and has gained well over it. You are also feeding him well, so keep doing that . A child should be healthy and active, being lean doesn't matter.
