Dear Vijaya, keep a smoke-free environment at all times. Proper hygiene practices such as frequent hand washing also can help minimize the risk of contracting bronchial pneumonia. Make sure your baby eats well and gets plenty of fluids and rest. Fluids dont mean just water. It should be fruit juices, lentil soups and other soups. But as you say he already has it and despite medicines not recovering, please consult a different doctor. You may continue with the Homeopathy medicines though. NOTE- The most effective method to prevent your child from catching pneumonia is vaccination. Vaccines against the pneumococcus, flu and measles are all available in the first months of your baby's life.
