hlo dr. my son is of 3. 5 years old. he shows less interest in meals. his weight is 14 kgs. his hb is 8 gms. if I continue any iron for hb he suffers from skin problem. what can i do for his hb n low weight. he is physically also very weak. plz suggest me.

I hope you are well. Please give your child this diet and add these following foods to his diet. Hb medications shouldn't lead to skin issues, please check with your doctor once. Also, add foods rich in Vitamin C to his diet, without which iron won't get absorbed in the body :) Breakfast- 1 cup milk + 1 mini sandwich/2 small chilla/1 Bowl veggie oats/1 Beetroot or carrot paratha Mid-morning- 1 Fruit + 1 Tsp peanut butter Lunch- 1 Roti with sabzi or Dal chawal, khichdi and kadhi, Fried rice, vegetable pulao/biryani Snack- 1 Fruit/1 Glass milkshake/Paneer Tikki/home-made bread pizza Dinner- Same as lunch OR 1 Dosa/uttapam/2 idlis/pasta with veggies/wheat noodles with veggies/vegetable daliya Green leafy veggies -Nuts and seeds -Nigella seeds (kalonji) -Dried fruits -Tofu -Legumes -Mushrooms -Amaranth -Oats -quinoa -Coconut milk -olives -Potatoes -Soybean -Flaxseeds -Sesame seeds
