how can i increase concentration of my child in studies. she is in first class and often does the same question wrong in paper that she had done right while practising at home. when i tell her mistake she feels less inclined to studies and feels pressurised also. she never does studies at home enthusiastically although she is good in it. please tell what to doeducation Corner
Hi Shivani Walia, Try these concentration techniques: 1. Ask him/her to circle the letter 'e' from a passage. 2. If he/she likes to listen to music, play an instrumental piece and ask him/her to listen the non dominant instrument. 3. Doing a puzzle/ scrabble/ crossword. 4. Colouring/painitng 5. Spotting differences in pictures. While sitting to study allow him/her to study in chunks of 45 minutes, break for 5minute, study for 45 minute and then break for 5 min. During the 5 min break he/she can walk out to balcony ,get fresh air, or stretch. During longer breaksshe can do one of the above techniques.
