Try the following and let me know how it goes. 1. Role model - read a book in your me-time when your child is observing you from a distance or while busy at something. 2. Picture/rich media books- Visually rich with less text - kind of books are ideal at this point for your child to have his attention. It may so happen that reading a text or viewing a dull visual is not getting your child interested. 3. Hear a story - Ask your child to tell you a story from the book every day. While he starts doing that, you could carry on telling him a story too after that, but then it's one story from both of you every day to each other. 4. Introduce him to writing too, may be writing his diary every day, even a line on how was his day and what did he do. 5. Please read this blog on some must have books - 6. Please read this blog too.
