There are many natural and healthy foods that increase milk supply plus they do not cause any harm to babies. These are Carrots, Beet, Dark green veggies like Spinach, Oats, channa hummus, nuts, green papaya, sesame seeds and healthy fats like vegetable oils. Presence of phytoestrogens, vitamins and minerals makes them good lactogenic foods. In addition, spices like, fenugreek seeds, garlic, ginger, fennel, black pepper, basil, anise, caraway and turmeric are also good but these foods should be taken in moderation. Lastly drinking lots of water, milk and milk based drinks will also ensure good milk supply. Feed more often, Feed for longer time and make sure baby is sucking well as more you will feed, more milk will be formed.
