how to teach writing curves as pre writing skills to a kid. please suggest any tricks???education Corner
Writing is not easy. Do not stress your two year old. When she joins nursery the school will teach her in a graded format. Now focus on oral learning. Here are a few handy tips which may be of help. 1. Some times it may happen so that a child's fine motor skills (read as finger movement in context here) need honing. You could help your child in strengthening his hand muscles and finger grip by focusing on fine motor development exercises. It would take time, but you would start noticing a difference after a few weeks. Even household chores like poring water in to a glass, arranging books, cleaning and wiping plates. 2. Boost Pincer grip for your child, that is through the use of tongues and tweezers. 3. Trace alphabets with your child on different surfaces like sand, soil etc teach alphabet and numbers You can use Flash cards Play doh Painting with letter cookie cutters Using glow / glitter stickers to form alphabet Use plastic letters and put in a box- ask her to pick the ones you call out Write letters in a tray of salt/ sand Join the dots Colour letters on charts Identify in the title of a magazine Kindly read my blog https://www.parentune.com/parent-blog/handwriting-important-skill/3002 I hope this helps.
