i am having persistent external piles since 3 years which appeared only on passing stools but did not have any problem. i have a 2 year old kid and in my previous pregnancy i did not have anyproblem with piles. but now i am 30 weeks pregnant and since 25 weeks i am having severe burning in piles after passing stools and then throughout the day. will they improve after pregnancy?in how much time?i m troubled a lot. they seem to be engorged and cause burning pain while passing stools. i m on fibre rich diet but no relief is there.

Answer:
We understand your concern. In pregnancy there is increased pressure on the passage of passing stools, which may be causing you increased pain and burning. Do review with a surgeon, who may advice you with some stool softner. Since bleeding much, may reduce your haemoglobin levels
