Back pain in pregnancy

Many pregnant ladies experience backache due to stretching of ligaments and the weight of the enlarging uterus. The homonal changes, stress and wrong posture also add on to the back pain.Take adequate rest and sleep and lie down for 2 hours in the afternoon if possible. Avoid prolonged standing and heavy work. Do not bend down, if you have to absolutely bend, do that by squatting. You can do pregnancy yoga or do walking regularly. Make sure you sleep on your side and not on your back as this can aggravate back pain. Visit your doctor for a checkup and to detect any problems.
