I want a real and true opinion from experts. Please suggest me. We both are working. We both are doctors but still struggling in our life for stability. We have a son who is 4 .6 years old. I always felt he should have a sibling. But due to time, money constraint my husband never wanted another. We live in nuclear family with no one for support. In my situation what should we do? Go for another child will be a good choice or not? It's urgent. Please reply soon.

Answer:
Opinions will vary from person to person. Ultimately you have to see what works for you. I recommend that you have a few conversations with your husband. List down the pros and cons of having the second child. From what you have written you hardly ha e time for your first child. As doctors I am sure you know that parents are the primary caregivers and that the first five years of development is crucial for a baby. If you do not have time and energy to take care then you are actually bringing harm to the all round development of the child. Financial strength is important as having a child incurs recurring expenditure. Hence you need to think , reason and analyse. Do not only see what you wish. It is important that you and your husband are on the same plane. There is no point in having children if both parents are not mentally , physically, financially and emotionally prepared. If you are very particular then list down your strong points. Single children also grow up hale and healthy and emotionally strong. It all depends on parenting. Invest wisely in your child- paying keen attention, playing , singing, having fun with your child is top priority. Would you be able to devote time for both? Do you have family and friends who will pitch in? So do give it a lot of thought and both of you ought to come to a consensus. All the best
