I want to ask a question about my 4 year old son about his height and weight as his height doesn't increasing as per his age and he is also under weight. So on this regard what should I do. I am giving him suplements as prescribed by doctor as his iron level is low since after three months. Suplements are not working as I m giving him since the day he born. I also giving him different healthy foods. Please tell me what are the possible reasons of his low iron and growth. IRON RICH FOODS Green leafy veggies -Nuts and seeds -Nigella seeds (kalonji) -Dried fruits -Tofu -Legumes -Mushrooms -Amaranth -Oats -quinoa -Coconut milk -olives -Potatoes -Soyabean -Flaxseeds -Sesame seeds Iron could be low due to various reasons- -Either there isn't enough Vitamin C in his diet. -His food doesn't get digested well, so many be a digestive problem. -You are giving him too much of some other mineral which is not allowing enough absorption of iron.
