Children require require structure. So setting a routine creates good habits. Allot time for all his daily activities. Setting time slots - 20/25 min of study + 5 min break will help a child in not getting bored. Prepare a checklist and put in his room. Guide him to tick off. When he finishes for the day reward a star. When he collects 7 you could treat him to extra half hour play on the weekend. Also allot time to hang out exclusively with him. An open channel of communication will be built like this which will be very good for the future too. Such structure will help bring in discilpine
