I'm soumya I'm 8month pregnant. I'm having gestational diabetes found now. fbs 105 and ppbs146 ..doctor told me to control diet then we will start insulin.. plz suggest diet plan

If you are pregnant and have Diabetes then follow the tips given below- - Eat 5-6 small meals in a day -Do not keep yourself starved or Do not keep long gaps between two meals. - Include Healthy carbs in every meal, like whole grain breads, cereals, ragi, jowl, atta and dal flour. -Include proteins in every meal in the form of meals, dals, beans, egg/meat & dairy like paneer or cheese/dahi. - Drink atlas 2-3 cups of milk in a day. - Include Nuts and seeds and eat handful in a day, mainly in between meals whenever hungry. - Include variety of fruits and veggies. Avoid taking fruit juices and emphasise more on whole fruits. - Avoid eating processed, ready to eat and junk food containing excess of salt, sugar and unhealthy fats. -Include some light exercise in your daily regime. - Lastly remain happy, calm and relaxed and enjoy this beautiful period
