New-borns sleep a lot; typically up to 16 to 17 hours a day. But most babies don't stay asleep for more than two to four hours at a time, day or night, during the first few weeks of life. It is normal. Don't worry. You could feed your baby say around 7. 30 and 8 pm. Breastfeed your baby at around 10 pm & when he wakes up again, feed him & put him back to sleep. This might take time but he would soon be used to it.
