My baby is 13 months old now and does not eat anything... we started solids after 6 months and initially he used to eat but now does not eat at all. I am grinding all of his food like rice and roti and filtering them and giving it to him in a feeding bottle... this way he eats atleast little else he does not eat at all. i have tried all varieties and all different things but he does not seem to be interested... please help.... is it okay to feed him all foods in the bottle ??

Answer:
I understand your concern. Please don't give up...try feeding him semi solids/ solids at the time the baby is most hungry. It is not a good idea to continue feeding everything with the bottle. Bottle feeding is easy for baby, that's why the baby is avoiding the semisolids/ solids. You may try the following activity- Make two plates...with different texture/ colors of food items.. For example...you can keep red coloured beetroot idli/paneer/ egg boiled/ animal figure or shaped pancake etc in that plate. Keep one plate in front of the baby in high chair and keep other with you. Eat and enjoy the food and show him how good you are feeling while eating the food...let the baby play with the food or let him create mess if he does..you will see he will surely try something...if in case he doesn't try... just relax..offer some healthy snack later.Secondly, You may also try weaving a story related to food. Hope these small tips will help!
