Answer:
Give her more variety and include vegetables, fruits, nuts, dried fruits, also in her diet. You can give porridge of suji, sago, dalia, rice flakes, ragi etc. Kheer of apple, rice etc. halwa of suji, atta, pumpkin, gajar, sweet potato etc. Khichri, upma, soft scrambled egg yolk, soups, mashed veggies, chapatti, rice, idli, dosa, uttapam, fruits etc. Give cereals like rice with dal/khichdi form, porridges, small bites of chapatti, pasta, upma, idli etc. Dals /legumes well cooked. Start with mashed and bring to regular consistency as the toddler starts chewing. Finger foods like cutlets, hard boiled eggs, small sandwiches, rolls, whole fruits. Small pieces of foods that can be handled with spoon or fork. Veg desserts like carrot /pumpkin/ghia halwa. Spinach/carrot burfi. If the child prefers soft, mushy food only, give only that for the time being. Give soft foods like porridge ( dalia, suji, sago, rice flakes etc). You may also give vegetable upma of suji, ragi etc. You can gradually introduce solid foods in diet, by giving one or two bites of it. You can give slice of apple/pear or stick of carrot to chew on.Try and make your child have meals with family. This would encourage her to start with solids. Show her chewing your foods. Give gaps between meals so that she is hungry enough to eat. Children also follow each other. Seeing other children eat solid food would also encourage her to chew. Read the following blog for more details. https://www.parentune.com/parent-blog/chewing-problems-in-toddlers/3111 Fruits can be combined with other foods and given in her diet; for e. g. fruit shakes, fruit based desserts like fruit ice cream/custard, apple kheer etc. Read the following blog on our website for more ideas https://www.parentune.com/parent-blog/10-ways-to-make-your-child-eat-more-fruits/589 I hope these give you some ideas.
