My baby is 3 months old and was born around 36 weeks. Her birth weight was 2. 3 kgs and now she weighs 3. 8 kgs. Is the weight normal for a 3 month old girl child? And should I start on any solid food to increase her weight because I find her very tiny. Also I use diapers at night because she is not getting proper sleep because of frequent urination. Can I continue on diapers?

Answer:
your daughter's weight is fine according to her birth weight. By 6 months she should double it, 4. 6 kgs. At 3 months you should not introduce any solids, as a baby can not digest them properly. Wait till she completes 4 months atleast. In the mean time you eat healthy diet for proper lactation. If she is urinating frequently at night, try then you need to change them frequently, that is every 2 hours. Hope it helps.
