My baby is just over a 2 week old and I’m breast feeding him, as he feeds he falls asleep and once I try to put him down in his crib he starts crying again. I then give bottled formula milk to settle him as I’m worried he didn’t have enough breast milk. I don’t want to bottle feed him at all. But I’m very scared. What can I do.

Answer:
Milk production or lactation is dependent on sucking by the baby. The more the baby feeds, the more the milk is produced. Breast have to be emptied for more lactation, so do not give bottle feed, but keep feeding yours. You should not worry about the sufficiency of breastmilk, as it is self regulated.
