My child is 10 yrs old. I take up his studies personally and explain him all concepts still he makez silly mistakes in his exams?education Corner
and this is perhaps the best time for her to understand various concepts and also start co-relating and applying them in his learning. Seems that he is is unable to concentrate while taking exams. It can happen at times that although we do know the solution, given too many things happening together, can distract us a bit. It's here that concentration is of utmost importance. Here are a few quick tips to deal with this, 1. Enrich your child's surroundings with a learning wall/easel/white board to explore, also with some concepts taught at school but in a fairly different manner. Your child could use this wall any time, and in fact you could let him write anything he wants on it. Writing helps putting one's thoughts out and helps in remembering better at times. 2. Encourage your child to ask queries by writing on the easle/writing wall. Role model by asking what you don't know and by sharing the awesome feeling once you found the answer. Try and answer your child's queries, if not immediately at all times, may be in some time, so that your child starts enjoying the interaction associated with enquiry. Appreciate and encourage the behaviour each time. 3. Try and take this behaviour fwd with your child's class teacher as well. She needs to be your partner at this to help your child. 4. Get your child to take mock tests at home in different settings/situations/surroundings. 5.
