Yes toddlers do get clingy. He feels safe when you are around. He will get over this in a few months time. Sending to play school can help him get over the phase. But do keep an eye always on him. It is safer to have him within your sight as he will put things in his mouth and bite anything he gets. He will also try to put his fingers into any hole or open draw and cupboards.
