My daughter doesn't like to eat any kind of vegetables. She loves to have fruits like mango, banana, orange, carrot, pomegranate, grapes, and guava. She likes paneer, fish, egg, chicken and mutton. But now I am avoiding egg and chicken got her as she got acne. She takes milk and fruit juices. She also eats junk food and chocolates, and ice-cream. How to get rid of these foods? I am very much worried about her nutrition, height and weight. What shall I do?

nutrition Corner

please read the following blog to help in her vegetable intake These sweets are nothing but junk food as they are high in sugar calories and low in nutrition. Restrict the intake of sweets to minimum, for once a week/ fortnight. Don't keep any sweets in the house, so that the child is not tempted. Be firm in saying no, when child asks for sweets. Fix meal times for the child, that is with family meal timings. Don't let her eat in between. Give her healthy options, which should be what the family is eating. Try including her favourite healthy options for the meals. You can make snacks healthier by using whole grain flour, vegetables & fruits. Try & make regular food interesting like chapatti veggies as Kathi roll or vegetables, cheese/shredded chicken spread over roti with ketchup. Give variety your child in foods. Don't even let others offer her chocolates/sweets. It would take some time & patience, to make the child understand. Hope it helps
