My daughter is 2. 3 years old and she didn't yet start speaking her mother tongue(malayalam),she is still communicating in her own language. She won't concentrate on what we are saying. kids of her age group already started speaking. I know we shouldn't compare with other kids but isn't it too late for her to start speaking.

Answer:
I understand your concern. Each child has its own pace of learning. If all other milestones are on level then you need not worry. Kindly go through the following blog which guides you further to help your child. If it is not found beneficial, kindly consult a speech therapist for proper speech exercises or further guidance https://www.parentune.com/parent-blog/helping-a-child-with-speech-delay-a-mothers-role/512 Thank you I hope these give you some ideas.
