Answer:

Hi Arun,
Height basically depends on genes, but it can also be significantly influenced by proper nutrition. Following a balanced diet and exercise are absolutely essential for improving growth prospects. Some of the foods you could give to your daughter that help increase height are:
1. Proteins: Proteins are the building blocks of our body and help increase height by building various tissues. The foods rich in protein are: Milk, eggs, cheese, paneer, yoghurt, chicken, fish, lean meat, soybean and its products, green beans, seeds (pumpkin, watermelon and squash), peanuts, pulses and dried beans like rajma, black chana, kabuli chana, etc.

2. Other minerals and vitamins: Some vitamins and minerals like vitamin D, calcium, magnesium, phosphorus, fluoride, iodine, iron and manganese also play an important role in increasing height and body growth. Foods rich in these nutrients are: Tofu, soy milk, soy beans, mushrooms, broccoli, spinach, cabbage, pumpkin, carrot, bananas, grapes and almonds.
