my daughter is not taking bottle feed and not ready to leave breast feeding . she is 1 year and 9 months.nutrition Corner
give top feed with spoon instead of bottle or sipper/cup. Bottlefeeding is not recommended as it poses hygiene issues or can cause dental caries. Keep her well fed during the day. From one year of age you should start with three meal pattern, i.e. breakfast, lunch and dinner along with two snacks. Give her a filing dinner at night and milk feed at sleep time. Ideally a baby can be breastfed as long as you can and minimum for 2 years. However if you wish to wean off, then keep the baby well fed through other milk and complementary solid feeds. You can also discourage the child using bitter edible things like neem/karela juice. It will take some before the baby is completely weaned off. Also ask any other family member/husband to put the baby to sleep. Hope this helps.
