My daughter weighs only 9. 8kg at d age of3... Also shes short coz we both parents are short. How can I help her gain good height n weight?

Height is influenced by by genes (height of parents & family). You can encourage her to take up sports and games like badminton, lawn tennis, basket ball etc. A high protein & calcium diet can be given. Few suggestions are milk & its products like paneer, cheese, curd etc, dals, legumes, eggs, fish and poultry. You may even include nuts and seeds in her diet. Few suggestions for weight gain Use whole milk and its products like curd, paneer, cheese, buttermilk etc. You may give these as fruitshakes/ fruit lassi. Cheese or paneer can be cut into small bite sized cubes, so that they can use their fingers to eat these. Alternatively paneer/cheese can be added to their roti/sandwich/dosa/uttapam etc. Increase intake of dals/legumes, eggs (hard boiled cut into small bite sized pieces or omlette etc. ) poultry/fish (curry, snacks, cutlets, tikka, in rice or in soup). Give more of fruits like mango, banana, cheeku,l itchi, grapes, dates. These may be added to their milkshakes as well. Give more of potato, sweet potato, colocassia, yam besides other vegetables. You may add these to their roti/sandwich. Nuts like walnuts, almonds, peanuts and dried fruits like raisins, currants, dried apricots. Hope it helps.
