My kids don't want to study. Although they are very smart in other things but mere mention of study irritates them. May b they think I vil scold them if they vil not respond. My son hesitates in reading, doesn't want to try even. He thinks he won't b able to as he feels unconfident.

Answer:
Your son may be having reading difficulties. You could consult a clinical psychologist for an assessment for learning difficulties. Alternatively set routines and allot time slots for learning, play , entertainment etc. Allow him to play after he returns for 1 hour. Set a time period to study for 1-1.15 hours. Allot time slots of 30 min study and 5 min break. Be gentle and firm that he has to follow the routine. To makehim interested in writing, place any of these : a board/ chart/colour paper/ colour pens. Sit beside him and you do some writing task so that he will copy your behaviour. When he completes studying or writing give him a sticker. When he gets 7 stickers give him a reward. Please be patient and give him lots of love and affection. Slowly all this routine will help. I hope these give you some ideas.
