My son is 2. 6 months old. He is suffering from cold ,cough and fever from past 1-1. 5 months. Fever has gone now but he is still suffering from cough and cold because of which he is not eating properly and he has become lean than before and lost weight also. Is that fine to lose weight during cold and cough as they lose their appetite. i have consulted doctor and he was on antibiotics and medicines for same. I have tried home remedies also but it is taking time to recover. He keeps crying has become irritable and how to make him eat now and get back his initial weight and plz give remedies for cough and cold. Plz help

Yes, weight loss is common if a child is ill. Don't worry, once he recovers completely, his apetite will return. Moreover cold tends to make a person lethargic and irritable. Give him soups, juices, coconut water to combat dehydration. Alternatively, give him what he likes to eat, just ensure it not to be sour, cold or too oily.
