My son is 2. 9 years I had given him ipv vaccine and two times opv in clinic but my doc suggested not to give opv by those who come at home by government as it is not safe n refrigerated. I m afraid that ipv is enough to fight with polio? will my son suffer from polio disease? he is complaining of his legs pain every day n cries a lot. is this due to polio or something else?

Answer:
As long has he has been regular with his polio immunisation ( oral or injectable) as per his vaccination card, he is protected. Leg pains are common in this age and may be due to 'growing pains' but do need to make sure he is not low in Vitamin D etc that may contribute a bit. Please check with your doctor regarding that. Hope this has been useful.
