my son is 3yrs and 3mnths old. he is suffering from cold and cough since almost whole December and still now. he is not eating his food properly. there has been launched a dozen health drinks in the market. what could be the fit for this age group of child. can u suggest?

Repeated attacks of infection indicate that child's immune system is weak. If child is exposed to dust, pets and smoke particularly cigarette smoke, it can increase the risk of getting infection. Also if child put on various antibiotics, it can weaken baby's gut and thereby his immune system. So instead of giving any health drinks, it is better that you consult your doctor and start with Probiotic supplements. It will make gut strong and thereby boost kid's immunity. Probiotics are found in dahi, plain yogurt with added probiotic and in drinks like kefir. Health drinks are mainly loaded with sugar which not help in boosting his immunity. Also you can check with your doctor in starting with Iron supplements.
